Day 5 - Lakeview to Carlin Nevada

Big skies;  really really big skies.  Some oncoming traffic was of the four legged type.  Stopped at the Heart mountain store in Adel Oregon for a Doctor Pepper and found a old western store with dozens of stuffed heads.  Mostly antelope, moose, deer, elk and one very large bull of the cow variety.  Lots of cowboys around with guns.

The roads were interesting lined on either side with bright blooming sagebrush.  Only the road edges even though sagebrush blanked the landscape as far as the eye could see which was pretty damn far.  We speculated that road runoff watered the edges more than the open prairie received from occasional rain.

Nice day mostly about big sky and mountains.  Plans to make it to Zion tomorrow evening after a long drive.
